Really not much that can be faulted at the Hotel Lapad. We visited as a party of ten (5 couples) for a three night short break to celebrate a friends 50th birthday. Staying on B&B terms, the hotel couldn't have been more helpful with recommendations and advance bookings for local restaurants. The hotel is immaculately clean in all public areas and the bedrooms are kept in near perfect condition. This is a period building that has been superbly and tastefully modernised inside with all that you expect from a quality hotel. Free wifi in the public areas that extends to some, but not all bedrooms was the only minor criticism. Large comfy double beds, well stocked mini bar, modern contemporary bathrooms, lovely views across the bay from a small balcony. Service was good in the restaurant and bars. Staff are all friendly and helpful. Only sampled the buffet breakfast, but this was excellent, with choices to suit all. As a first taster of Dubrovnik for most of our party, we all agreed that it would be a great destination to come back to and I don't think we'd look much further for our accommodation!

Just back from a week at Hotel Lapad. What a place! From the minute we arrived we were welcomed by friendly, efficient staff and nothing was too much for them. Our room (21) lived up to expectations, being at the front of the hotel with a beautiful view over the pool and harbour. Furnishings were beautiful, everything was top quality (even the loo paper!) and the bed was HUGE! Tea and coffee making facilities provided, and there was no charge to use the safe. It was so quiet at night. None of the usual noise of people arriving all hours and doors banging etc. No noise at all from neighbouring rooms. We stayed half board and the food was first class. Everything you could want and more! Petar is a huge asset to the hotel. He is such a laugh but remains professional at all times. Agneza is such a sweet, hard-working lady. Beautiful little place with stunning scenery. Yes, a very memorable holiday. We met some lovely people at the hotel and, although the weather was not too kind to us, we wouldn't hesitate to return. Would recommend it to anyone!

Just got back from staying here for a long week-end. Friendly, polite and efficient staff, great rooms and very clean. We had room 615 on the right side of the hotel as you look from the pool. Whilst this was on the sixth floor, as the hotel is built into the hillside, we were also at ground level and had access to a small terrace - very nice and quiet - with a side view down into the harbour There is an excellent breakfast buffet. We had an evening meal in the restaurant and that was also good. It's easy to get into the Old Town with frequent buses but be wary that they can get very busy and the concept of queueing has yet to be fully understood. Very relaxing stay especially with the pool to dip in after a hard day's sight-seeing.

Spent a great weekend in Dubrovnik staying at Hotel Lapad. This is away from the old town on the side of the bay. Lovely hotel, great rooms (ours had a balcony). Very helpful, attentive and friendly staff. Particularly enjoyed the outside bar overlooking the swimming pool. Restaurant OK for evening meals (nice buffet or a la carte), but has a great buffet breakfast! Certainly recommend this to anyone.

This is just a perfect hotel, located a bit away from the infamous old town of Dubrovnik, what I think is a huge plus. The hotel had very friendly service everywhere but especially in the reception. There is a well working wifi all over the hotel. The room was really nice and modern and it had a great bed. I was given a room with a small balcony overlooking a part of the cruise harbor. Their restaurant served great dishes and has a very good service. Parking is feasible at the harbor front next to the hotel. A very beautiful place.

Excellent hotel in bay area approx 1 mile from Old Town .Well appointed rooms , Breakfast

excellent .Helpful and attentive staff .Transport - water and bus - within short walking distance.

Close to wonderful restaurants .

Would most definitely return to this hotel.

We have just returned from a fabulous week at the Lapad. It is a spotless, elegant hotel with lovely friendly staff. We had a room on the 6th floor - in the modern part as we wanted a balcony and harbour view. As with many good quality hotels, the bathroom was fitted out with chrome and glass, including the basin and walls. a modesty panel could be used between the bathroom and the bedroom. Views from the balcony were fabulous - over to Gruz where a variety of small and large boats manoeuvred all day long. We were fascinated by the huge cruise ships, and how they arrived backwards into the smallish harbour!.

Breakfast was excellent though with a huge range of fresh tasty food.

My wife and I were here for 4 nights and couldn't believe our good fortune in being able to stay at the Hotel Lapad as part of a group tour. The building is attractive and right on the harbor. From our small but private balcony we had a view of both fruit trees, the modern bridge that leads into Dubrovnik, the harbor of both small boats, ferries and huge cruise ships, as well as the hills on the other side of the harbor. The bus stopped right across the narrow street next to the water. We found the food in the hotel to be perfectly adequate. But what really impressed us was the truly elegant and original design features of the room. Yes, the (very clean) room was small. But everything from recessed lighting to bathroom fixtures and shelves reflected modern yet practical design features. This was not like any chain hotel. Nothing about it was cookie cutter sameness. It was the type of design that could have been featured in an architectural design magazine. Yet the room was apparently not super expensive. With elegant design, wonderfully scenic views and harborside location, I would highly recommend this hotel for anyone seeking something beyond chain hotel sameness.

Good quality, comfortable hotel in quieter area of Dubrovnik with attractive outlook over Gruz Bay and good bus link to Old Town. Staff very pleasant and helpful. Flexible meal options were welcome, as was the excellent bar!

I loved that it had character and yet had modern facilities. It was clean, friendly staff and was perfect for our overnight stay before boarding our boat. Would definitely recommend to friends.

From the minute we arrived, staff were friendly and very professional. Nothing was any trouble for them. Hotel was very nice and very clean. rooms were excellent good size, very comfortable beds and bathroom was spotless. Breakfast was fab, staff were always around refilling coffee, and replenishing food often. Overall excellent stay will definitely be back.

Bedroom and bathroom were decorated really beautifully Spacious Clean Food was excellent and plenty to choose from Staff were friendly and very helpful Hotel is situated in a beautiful area over looking the harbour

It was like HEAVEN to stay at Hotel Lapad. The location was perfect for me and my husband and we had a lovely double room overlooking the harbour and could watch the cruise ships come and go. Breakfast was to die for with a great selection of foods we liked - bacon & eggs, spicy sausages, fresh fruit salad, ham & cheese, breads of all kinds and pasteries etc Coffee refills were to hand all the time and the staff at the hotel were courteous and friendly and very helpful and very good looking too!! There was not a sound in the hotel while we slept - you would not know there was a busy road outside and the cruise ships just went away without any loud horns blowing or anything. We were able to use our debit card or you could pay in cash and receipts were given for everything you bought there. The sitting area overlooking the pool was lovely to just sit and have a night cap at the end of the day and the lights of the houses twinkling from the houses dotted along the hillside takes your breath away as you just sat and watched this beautiful view. I would go back to Hotel Lapad again - it was just perfect for me and my husband. We stayed 5 nights and each day we felt more at home. We had a lovely time at Hotel Lapad.

Everything about Hotel Lapad was first class. We arrived very early off the ferry from Bari, Italy - they stored our luggage and set us on the bus to the Old Town, which left every 10 mins from outside the hotel! The staff were so incredibly friendly and helpful. The rooms were elegant, immaculate and quiet. Their bar/terrace area was delightful and the restaurant was absolutely top notch. We are serious, long term travellers and can honestly say we have never seen such a superb selection of foods so beautifully prepared! Friends recommended Lapad to us and we would recommend it to everyone - there is no other place you would consider staying in Dubrovnik. They just make everything so easy!

Liked the friendly people from the front reception staff to the cleaning crew. Everybody was so friendly and helpfull with every thing and anything. Never had such great service before. We enjoyed our stay and would defenately like to go back there for another vacation.

Stunning hotel in a good location to get in to the old town and also across to Lapad beach. Fantastic breakfast that was constantly being replenished, helpful staff and spotlessly clean.Good transport facilities to old town, the bus station is literally across the road. You can buy bus tickets at reception or they can call you a taxi if you prefer.

We have just arrived back from our holiday at your hotel. We must say a big thank you for room 705 - it was brilliant. We had a most enjoyable time and found the hotel excellent - the staff, food, room and cleanliness of the everywhere first class. Many thanks again - kind regards - Jean and Ian Wightman
